Férias, segunda ronda: Africa do Sul! Aqui está um país que sempre que volto fico mais feliz por lá estar. Desta vez fomos de carro até Durban onde fomos parando em varias zonas junto à zona costeira.
O primeiro ponto foi parar em Richards Bay: não adorei mas tambem não odiei...não achei nada de especial e o mais engraçado que vi foi mesmo o barco enorme que esta encalhado no mar.
Vacations, second round: South Africa! Here is a country that whenever I go back I'm more happy to be there. This time we drove to Durban where we were stopping at several areas along the coastal zone.
The first point was stopping in Richards Bay: I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it either... I didn't find anything special and the only thing that I actually liked was this huge boat stranded at the sea.
De seguida seguimos para Ballito onde só chegamos a tempo de ver alguns barcos na marina mesmo antes do jantar com alguns daiquiris pelo meio.
Then we went to Ballito where we arrived just in time to see some boats in the marina just before dinner with some daiquiris.
No dia seguinte estivemos a passear e confesso que adorei Ballito. Apesar de gostar mais das praias de moçambique, adorei os espaços super verdes e as passadeiras que percorrem a costa. Estivemos ainda num centro comercial - que ja não me lembro o nome - onde fizeram um moral em memória do Nelson Mandela, aliás, é impressionante como a presença do Madiba esta presente um bocadinho por todo o lado.
The next day we were walking around and I confess that I loved Ballito. Although I like more the beaches of Mozambique, loved the super green spaces and walkways that they have along the coast. We were still in a shopping center - I cann't remember the name - where they made a moral in Nelson Mandela memory - it is amazing how the presence of Madiba is present everywhere.
Antes de seguirmos para o nosso proximo destino ainda fui a tempo de beber um batido de gelado de morango.
Before we move on to our next destination I still had time to drink a strawberry smoothie.
Proxima paragem: Umhlanga. ADOREI!!! Adorei as pessoas, o centro da cidade, as lojas, a comida, os mercados tradicionais, as casas perto do mar....vivia lá na boa!
Mal chegamos fomos à procura de um hotel e depois de alguma procura encontramos um hotel fantástico a nivel de serviço, mas com uma decoração muiiito indiana - foi das coisas que mais notei, existem muitos indianos e descendentes nestes lados da África do Sul!
Next stop: Umhlanga. LOVED IT! Loved the people, the town center, the shops, the food, the traditional markets, the houses near the sea .... I wouldn't mind living there!
When we arrived we went looking for a hotel and after some searching we found a fantastic hotel: the level of service was just great, but with a veeeeery Indian decor - that was one of the things that I noticed the most, there are many Indians and descendants in these parts of South Africa!
Aqui em Umhlanga, visitamos o estadio de futebol Moses Mabhida - existe um teleferico que vai até ao meio do estadio, é possível fazer uma visita guiada pelo interior de estadio e ainda fazer bungee jumping.
Here in Umhlanga, we visited the Moses Mabhida soccer stadium - there is a cable car that goes up to the middle of the stage, you can take a guided tour inside the stadium and even bungee jumping.
Estivemos ainda no museu Kwa Muhle - foi um pouco complicado chegar lá, mas valeu a pena visitar este museu cheio de historia.
Later, we went to Kwa Muhle Museum - was a bit tricky to get there, but it was worth visiting this museum full of history.
No dia seguinte fizemos um programa mais tranquilo. Fomos ao Shaka Park, que é um sitio optimo para quem tem crianças.
The next day we did a chilled program. We went to Shaka Park, which is a great place for those with children.
